[Asia Economy Reporter Park So-yeon] The National Pension Service has newly appointed three non-executive directors.
According to the investment banking (IB) industry on the 18th, the National Pension Service newly appointed Jung Yun-mo, Executive Vice President of the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business, Kang Nan-sook, Chairperson of the Daejeon Chungnam Consumer Federation, and Seo Won-seok, Research Professor at Sejong University’s Institute for National Governance, as non-executive directors on the 14th of last month.
Newly appointed director Jung Yun-mo previously served as Director General of the Planning and Coordination Office at the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and Chairman of the Korea Technology Finance Corporation.
Director Kang Nan-sook has served as a non-executive Consumer Dispute Mediation Committee member of the Korea Fair Trade Commission and as a deliberation member of the Fair Trade Commission’s Policy Transparency System.
Director Seo Won-seok has held positions such as Head of Planning and Coordination Headquarters and Deputy Director at the Korea Institute of Public Administration.
Among the directors whose terms expired, Lee Yeon-ju (member of the Jeollabuk-do Education Administration Appeals Committee) and Joo Myung-ryong (representative of the Korea Headquarters of the Korean Retirees Association) were reappointed, while Yoon Young-mi and Oh Soon-myung retired.
Meanwhile, Kim Yong-jin, Chairman of the National Pension Service, recently tendered his resignation with 1 year and 4 months remaining in his term.
