[Photo] Jeong Ho-young Draws the Line on Resignation... Directly Refutes All Allegations

On the afternoon of the 17th, Jeong Ho-young, the nominee for Minister of Health and Welfare, held a press conference to clarify allegations at the auditorium on the 9th floor of the National Medical Center in Jung-gu, Seoul. Jeong emphasized that there were no improper actions regarding the allegations related to his child's transfer to medical school and his son's military service. He also stated that he would undergo thorough verification by the National Assembly and the Ministry of Education in this regard.

Jeong made it clear that he has no intention of stepping down voluntarily. If appointed as minister, he pledged to achieve the restoration of daily life that the public desires, based on his expertise gained from over 40 years of experience in regional medical fields and his response to COVID-19. He also promised to innovate the quarantine and medical systems to prepare for the resurgence of infectious diseases.
