People Power Party's Hwang Tae-jin Announces Candidacy for Hamyang County Governor Hwang Tae-jin, a preliminary candidate for the mayor of Hamyang County, is holding a press conference to announce his candidacy.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hwang Tae-jin, chairman of the Gyeongnam Hamyang County Council, has declared his candidacy for the Hamyang County Governor election.

On the 15th, candidate Hwang held a press conference for his gubernatorial candidacy, stating, "I decided to run to bring development to Hamyang County and offer hope and vision to its residents."

He said, "The time has come to fight for a world where ordinary residents are the owners, not a world dominated by powerful privileged groups. I stand here ready to run alongside the residents like autumn frost (Chusang)."

He targeted the current county governor as the reason for his candidacy.

Candidate Hwang criticized Governor Seo Chun-soo, saying, "There was the least communication." He added, "If I become governor, I will promote governance centered on communication and the residents."

Candidate Hwang Tae-jin said, "I will improve the quality of life for residents, increase income, and make Hamyang County a happy and livable place."

His pledges include ▲ full support for university tuition fees ▲ the county purchasing all agricultural products produced by residents for sale ▲ establishment of a multipurpose complex leisure town with a well-connected SOC system and a healing, tourism, and convention convergence cluster ▲ construction of a pet owner animal welfare center ▲ building a multipurpose complex community center for the elderly, women, youth, disabled, and multicultural families ▲ and establishment of a comprehensive center for returning farmers and settlers in western Gyeongnam.

Regarding integrity, candidate Hwang said, "Administration must be resident-centered," adding, "If the council and administration continue to communicate together, improving integrity is neither distant nor difficult."

He emphasized that nomination standards lie in competitiveness for the final election and presented himself as the most competitive candidate.
