Gwangju City Launches Full-Scale Operation of Small Business Primary Care Center

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Gwangju Metropolitan City and the Economic Employment Promotion Agency announced on the 15th that they are operating the ‘Small Business Doctor Center’ to address various difficulties caused by COVID-19.

In March, the Gwangju Economic Employment Promotion Agency signed a business agreement with Gwangju City Hall and specialized organizations (Gwangju Regional Certified Public Accountants Association, Gwangju Regional Bar Association, Gwangju Regional Tax Accountants Association, Korea Certified Labor Consultants Association Gwangju Jeonnam Buk Jeju Branch) to revitalize the operation of the Doctor Center.

The Doctor Center aims to create a stable management environment for small business owners through customized consulting by field and guidance on small business support policies. Since the 11th, it has been recruiting participants for the ‘Gwangju Small Business Customized Consulting’ program, providing ▲professional consulting in tax/accounting, labor, and legal fields ▲comprehensive consulting diagnosing overall management ▲on-site consulting visiting traditional markets and local commercial districts ▲and small business support policy guidance services.

Professional consulting supports up to two consultations per field, including ▲(Tax/Accounting) income tax, value-added tax, withholding tax filing, etc. ▲(Labor) four major insurances, labor contracts, dismissal, severance pay, etc. ▲(Legal) compensation for damages, lease contracts, intellectual property disputes, etc. Experts in each field conduct consultations via phone, email, or visits upon request from participating businesses.

Additionally, the center provides one-time support for preparing various difficult-to-handle documents for small business owners, such as issuing and submitting various tax-related certificates, drafting labor contracts, and providing payroll statement templates.

Comprehensive consulting offers up to five consultations per business for those experiencing management difficulties after startup or seeking business expansion, covering management capacity enhancement, business model development, marketing strategies, and franchise business advice.

On-site consulting involves expert groups visiting established local commercial districts and traditional markets to provide education and counseling. If additional consultation is requested, intensive counseling can be received through linkage with professional consulting, and all consultation fees are free of charge.
