J Contentree, which operates the movie theater chain 'Megabox,' is trading at 54,800 KRW, up 5.38%, and NEW, another film production and distribution company, is trading at 11,150 KRW, up 5.69%. CJ CGV is recording 28,550 KRW, up 2.51%.
On this day, Prime Minister Kim Boo-kyum held a meeting of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters for COVID-19 at the Government Seoul Office and announced, "The ban on food consumption in indoor multi-use facilities such as movie theaters, indoor sports facilities, and religious facilities will be lifted entirely from April 25."
Restrictions on operating hours of multi-use facilities and limits on private gathering sizes will be fully lifted earlier, from the 18th. Restrictions on the number of participants in events, assemblies, and religious facilities will also be lifted together.
