Gwangju Senior Long-Term Care Visiting Care Association Supports Candidate Lee Yong-seop

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Gwangju Elderly Long-term Care Visiting Care Association held a 'support declaration' event on the afternoon of the 14th at the election office of preliminary candidate Lee Yong-seop, attended by about 30 executives including Chairman Seo Young-man.

On this day, the attendees declared, "The 2,300 members belonging to the association support preliminary candidate Lee, who has created a just and prosperous Gwangju as the mayor of Gwangju during the 7th local election."

They continued, "Preliminary candidate Lee created Gwangju-type jobs despite the difficulties of COVID-19, and made Gwangju the only city among local governments nationwide where the number of births increases every month," adding, "He initiated the nation's first 24-hour one-on-one care service for the most severely developmentally disabled, presenting a new path for a community living together."

They also stated, "Preliminary candidate Lee has created Gwangju's time even in the long-term care field," and "We have experienced that he has made various efforts to improve the treatment of elderly welfare workers, starting with special allowances for elderly facility workers in 2019, special allowances for elderly day care center workers in 2021, and other efforts to improve the treatment of elderly welfare workers."

Along with this, they added, "Preliminary candidate Lee's process of creating a 'bigger and stronger Gwangju era' includes improving the treatment of visiting care workers who quietly provide care services in the elderly welfare field but are still insufficient," and "We actively support him with the hope that Gwangju Metropolitan City will become a welfare community where no one is left out or discriminated against in the field, and everyone is treated fairly and coexists together."
