'My Father, My Family' Lecture and Music Performance Held Together
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Jeonnam Gwangyang Central Library announced that on April 28, it will hold a 'Book Concert with Writer Shin Kyung-sook' to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Central Library's opening and Library Week.
This cultural event will be held at night for citizens who find it difficult to use the library, such as students and office workers, and will be conducted as a library book concert combining a lecture and musical performance under the theme 'My Father, My Family.'
Writer Shin Kyung-sook debuted in 1985 with the novel "Winter Fable" published in Munye Joongang and is well known to the public for various works such as "Please Look After Mom," "The Lone Room," and "The Phone Bell Rings Somewhere Looking for Me." She has received awards including the 25th Yi Sang Literary Award, the 43rd Republic of Korea Culture and Arts Award, and the 23rd Ho-Am Prize in the Arts.
At the book concert, based on her book "I Went to See My Father," the event will look into the true nature of family, which is the source of existence, through the depiction of family and self in the work, and discuss the lives of fathers and families.
Additionally, there will be a musical performance related to the lecture theme and a 'Dialogue with Readers' session, providing an opportunity for communication and enjoyment between the lecturer and participants.
The event will be hosted by Kim Shin, a reading discussion expert who conducts various lectures and reading discussion classes at libraries, universities, and companies.
