Kim Gyeongja, Hampyeong County Governor Preliminary Candidate, Promotes Smart Agriculture to Develop Underdeveloped Farming and Increase Income


[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Kim Kyungja, a preliminary candidate for Hampyeong County Governor from the Democratic Party of Korea, announced on the 14th that she will foster the aging and underdeveloped agriculture into smart agriculture.


On the 13th, preliminary candidate Kim Kyungja visited Hakgyomyeon Haknan Farm and Hampyeong Cattle Market in succession, saying, "I was moved to tears because farmers who work tirelessly do not receive fair prices," and added, "I will establish and lease smart farm complexes to realize a profit-sharing system."


She continued, "In Hampyeong, farmers and fishermen account for 50%," and emphasized, "I will create a Hampyeong where young people work and return, actively support self-employed and small business owners burdened by COVID-19 and population decline, and seek revitalization measures."


Preliminary candidate Kim Kyungja also announced a pledge to create a 'Hanwoo Street.'


Candidate Kim said, "Along with Hampyeong Euddeum Hanwoo, I will create a Hanwoo Street to become a genuine mecca of the livestock industry," emphasizing, "I will achieve economic revitalization through local indigenous businesses."


She explained, "The National Institute of Animal Science, with a total project cost of 769.2 billion won, is preparing to relocate," and added, "We will develop high-quality breeds, provide feed support, build processing facilities, and foster and develop high value-added local industries such as Hampyeong Chunlan industry and Sonbul octopus."


Preliminary candidate Kim Kyungja served as the chairperson of the 11th Jeonnam Provincial Council Youth Development Special Committee and vice-chairperson of the Planning and Administration Committee, and she was the main proposer of the 'Jeonnam Talent Development Institute Resident Education Ordinance' and the 'Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education Suffrage Education Activation Ordinance.'


She has also played a pivotal role in election camps for local councilors, county governors, and members of the National Assembly in the Hampyeong area, earning a reputation for representing the voices of the local field for a better hometown Hampyeong.
