[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Gyumin] Members of the fan cafe for Kim Geon-hee, wife of President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol, are reporting netizens who posted malicious comments on news related to Mrs. Kim to the police.
Lee Seunghwan (48), the representative of Kim's fan cafe "Geonsarang," stated in a phone call with Asia Economy on the 14th, "At 2 p.m. today, we will file a complaint with the Mapo Police Station in Seoul against those who posted malicious comments under the charge of defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act."
Lee explained that he filed complaints regarding 12 cases of "malicious comments" on that day and plans to identify additional targets from online news comments and social networking services (SNS) to file complaints against about 30 more people.
Meanwhile, Lee had previously filed a complaint in February against former Democratic Party lawmaker Choi Min-hee for raising suspicions that Mrs. Kim had ties with a shaman.
