[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] DL Construction announced on the 14th that it has secured construction rights for two street housing redevelopment projects in Seoul this month, located in Myeonmok-dong and Jongam-dong, with a total construction cost of 110.3 billion KRW.
The street housing redevelopment project in the Myeonmok-dong area, for which construction rights were secured on the 4th, involves building two buildings ranging from 2 basement floors to a maximum of 27 floors above ground, comprising 199 apartment units. The total construction cost is approximately 48.2 billion KRW, and the construction period is about 29 months from the actual start date.
This project site is conveniently located near Dongbu Expressway, which runs north-south through Seoul, and Dongil-ro, which runs east-west, facilitating easy vehicle movement. Public transportation such as Myeonmok Station (Line 7) and Jungnang Station (Gyeongui-Jungang Line) is accessible on foot.
The street housing project in the Jongam-dong area, for which DL Construction secured construction rights on the 9th, will feature five buildings ranging from 3 basement floors to a maximum of 29 floors above ground, with 213 apartment units and auxiliary welfare facilities. The total construction cost is approximately 62.1 billion KRW, and the construction period is about 32 months from the actual start date.
The site is known for its excellent transportation, education, and living environment. Wolgok Station (Line 6) is within 250 meters, allowing easy access to central Seoul areas such as Jongno and Dongdaemun. In the future, the nearby opening of the Gangbuk Transversal Light Rail Line is expected to create a double station area.
Last year, DL Construction achieved orders and secured construction rights in areas including Daegu Daemyeong LH Participation Type, Seoul Mok-dong, Seoul Seokgwan-dong 1-3 District, Daegu Suchang-dong, Daejeon Daedunsan-ro (Yucheon-dong) 1BL and 2BL, and Cheongju Namju-dong 2 District. This year, in addition to Myeonmok-dong and Jongam-dong in Seoul, it secured construction rights for street housing redevelopment projects in Busan Gwang-an 373BL and Jeonju Geumam-dong area (Sewon Apartment).
A DL Construction official said, "Based on the housing project know-how the company possesses, we are recognized for our competitiveness in street housing redevelopment projects," adding, "We will continue to focus our capabilities on building livable homes from the customer's perspective."
