[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Ulsan Ulju Fire Station is deploying a mountain rescue volunteer fire brigade at the Ganjeoljae Shelter to ensure hiking safety during the spring season when the number of hikers increases.

The operation period is from April 16 to May 29, with six members deployed on weekends and public holidays.

The mountain rescue volunteer fire brigade consists of specialized volunteer firefighters from the Ulju Fire Station and carries out activities such as rapid detection and rescue of people in need, assistance with first aid, and hiking guidance through safety patrols on accident-prone trails.

Fire Chief Ho-young Jeong said, “With this spring forward deployment, we will prevent mountain accidents and take the lead in ensuring citizens' safety by responding quickly to initial incidents.”
