Making Coding Education Convenient... SKB Launches Coding Robot Product 'AlbertAI Home'

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] SK Broadband announced on the 14th that it will launch the ‘Albert Artificial Intelligence (AI) x B tv ZEM Kids Homeschooling Pack’ (hereinafter ‘Albert AI Home’), which allows children from age 3 to lower elementary school grades to learn coding. This is the first coding robot education product in the IPTV industry.

‘Albert AI’ is a new third-generation AI coding robot that includes the significantly enhanced functions of the AI platform NUGU, developed by SK Telecom, integrated into the educational coding robot ‘Albert.’

The ‘Homeschooling Pack’ is designed so that children can independently input the ZEM Kids card into Albert AI and watch their favorite kids’ channels or videos on B tv, making it easy and fun for anyone to enjoy coding using the TV.

This product takes into account that coding has been mandatory as an elective subject in elementary, middle, and high schools since 2018. Especially with the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, it was planned so that young children who are reluctant to attend coding academies can learn at home.

For a generation familiar with videos, instead of potentially boring booklets, a dedicated menu for ‘Albert AI Home’ has been created on B tv, providing VOD and TV app services for coding education together.

The ‘Albert AI Home’ TV app is designed so that children can enjoy coding play without losing interest, covering concepts such as numbers, multiplication tables, English words, and coding missions. There is also a ‘Self-Coding Mode’ where children can enjoy various pathfinding coding games using only the ‘Coding Card’ and ‘Coding Map’ without connecting to B tv.

Additionally, with NUGU installed, children can use essential study tools such as encyclopedias, Korean-English dictionaries, and word chain games, along with other services previously provided by NUGU.

SK Broadband offers ‘Albert AI Home’ to customers for 179,300 KRW (including VAT).
