Jungjin-gong, Recruitment of Trainees for Long-term Advanced Course for Smart Factory Employees

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Small and Medium Business Corporation (Chairman Kim Hak-do, hereinafter referred to as SBC) announced on the 14th that it is recruiting trainees to participate in the '2022 1st Long-term Advanced Course for Smart Factory Employees.'

The participants targeted are employees of small and medium-sized enterprises and mid-sized companies that have introduced smart factories, with 360 people to be recruited. The training fields include ▲data analysis ▲manufacturing automation ▲operations management, and applicants can choose one to apply for. The training participation fee is free.

The training course consists of online and offline education and on-site projects. It includes theoretical education on overall smart factory operations and practical training using the Smart Factory Learning Center, along with trainee-led on-site projects to identify and improve issues at the company site. The training period is a total of three months.

Based on last year's operation results, SBC improved the training operation by establishing an online application system and expanding the range of online courses. The training locations were also expanded from the previous five places?Ansan, Jeonju, Changwon, Gyeongsan, and Cheonan?to six places including Gwangju Metropolitan City to enhance trainee participation convenience.

Last year's long-term advanced course saw 471 participants, exceeding the target of 360, and the satisfaction score was high at 88 points. SBC plans to provide demand-tailored education this year as well to offer practical help in the field.

Ahn Jeong-gon, Head of the SBC Job Division, said, "It would be a good method for several people from one company to participate in the training simultaneously to advance the overall management and operation methods of smart factories," adding, "SBC will take the lead in fostering in-house smart factory experts equipped with practical problem-solving capabilities by operating long-term advanced courses focused on job training and on-site improvement projects."
