[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] President Moon Jae-in shared a Facebook post by Deputy Prime Minister for Economy Hong Nam-ki, who mentioned the final monthly employment trend of the Moon administration, saying, "I thank everyone for their hard work."
On the same day, President Moon stated on social networking services (SNS), "Despite many difficulties, 1.27 million jobs were created during our government's five years."
In the Facebook post shared by President Moon, Deputy Prime Minister Hong referred to the 'March employment trend,' saying, "The number of employed people in March increased by 831,000 compared to the same month last year, marking 13 consecutive months of growth," and added, "The increase of over 800,000 employed people in March this year shows that the recovery trend in our employment is continuing strongly."
President Moon said, "Since this is the final monthly employment trend of our government, it summarizes the job situation throughout our administration," and added, "Including youth jobs, the employment rate has reached an all-time high, and the unemployment rate is at its lowest level."
He also praised, saying, "This achievement was made not only by our economic team but also by our companies, and it is a result that our people have achieved together."
