[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] Emart24 announced on the 13th that it has opened a store on the metaverse platform Zepeto to expand its contact points with MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z) customers.
The store is located on the basement first floor of Starfield Zepeto branch. It is equipped with a cash register and coffee machine similar to the actual store, and products such as Dalgyal-injool Aldonut and Lemon Meets Choco are displayed inside the store.
To commemorate the opening of the metaverse store, a Zepeto feed event will be held from the 14th to the 22nd. Customers can take photos in front of the Emart24 store or in the Aldonut world, then upload them to their feed with hashtags (#Emart24, #ZepetoEmart24, #StarfieldZepeto). All customers will receive a 1,000 KRW Emart24 mobile gift certificate, and five participants who upload a verification shot on the official Instagram will be selected by lottery to receive an additional 5,000 KRW Emart24 mobile gift certificate.
An Emart24 official said, “We opened the metaverse store to provide customers with a new experience beyond time and space,” adding, “Through the metaverse store, we can strengthen communication with the MZ generation and expect to raise brand awareness among future potential customers.”
