Information Ad Limit Reached in Just One Day

The Heo Seok Suncheon Mayor Preliminary Candidate Support Committee (Chairman Jeong Se-gyun) completed all preparations after registering on the 4th and began fundraising advertisements in the local information paper in four installments.

After the support committee registration, fundraising inquiries continued, and the limit amount was fully reached on the first day of the advertisement publication.

Four years ago, during the mayoral election, election funds were raised through a citizen fund, but starting from this election, preliminary candidates can establish a preliminary candidate support committee upon registration and receive donations up to 50% of the legal election expenses.

The fundraising limit for the support committee is up to 90 million won, which is 50% of the mayoral election expense preservation amount of 180 million won, and the limit per person is less than 5 million won per year.

The support committee stated, “We will deliver the entrusted donations and the hearts of many who expressed their intention to support to candidate Heo Seok,” and added, “We are only sorry to those who expressed their intention to support after the closing, and candidate Heo Seok will do his best until the end for re-election.”

Meanwhile, the chairman of this support committee was elected and inaugurated at the general meeting on the 4th after former Prime Minister Jeong Se-gyun accepted the chairmanship.
