Binggrae Launches Protein-Enhanced 'Protein String Cheese'

[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Binggrae announced on the 12th that it will launch ‘Protein String Cheese,’ a string cheese fortified with protein.

Protein String Cheese is a high-protein string cheese product made by adding 100% milk protein based on milk-derived protein ingredients to high-calcium cheese. It is the first protein concept product among string cheeses in Korea, with a protein content of about 30% per gram (g). This is higher than the protein content of chicken breast, which is well known for its high protein content at 23%. However, the sugar content is less than 0.5g, making it a light nutritional snack suitable for consumption before and after exercise.

A Binggrae official stated, “We are launching Protein String Cheese, which enhances protein in string cheese to capture both taste and nutrition at once,” and added, “We will continue to develop various cheeses that consider health to ensure we can provide consumers with nutritious snacks.”
