LG Electronics will launch the 2022 portable air conditioner, designed for convenient use in various spaces, on the 15th. The new product significantly enhances hygiene management with large-capacity dehumidification and AI drying features.
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] LG Electronics is launching a 2022 model of its portable air conditioner that significantly enhances hygiene management with AI drying and large-capacity dehumidification, designed for convenient use in various spaces.
The product, released on the 15th by LG Electronics, features stronger dehumidification performance. It offers a maximum daily dehumidification capacity of 44 liters, which is 60% higher compared to the previous portable air conditioner model (PQ08DBWAS), effectively keeping indoor spaces comfortable during high humidity periods such as the rainy season.
The new model is equipped with an AI drying function, where artificial intelligence analyzes the usage time of the portable air conditioner and automatically sets the optimal drying time to remove moisture inside the unit. This eliminates the need for customers to set drying times manually, providing convenience.
Expanding the domestic portable air conditioner market, LG’s new portable air conditioner features a dual inverter compressor with two cylinders compressing the refrigerant, delivering excellent cooling performance and energy efficiency. When used for 4 hours a day, it saves up to 29% more energy compared to the previous fixed-speed model (LW-C062PEW).
When used in low-noise mode, it operates at a quiet 39dB, comparable to a quiet library. The easy installation kit, designed to fit Korean window frames, requires no screws and is simple to assemble, allowing for easy installation by a single person.
The portable air conditioner new model is available in cooling areas of 23㎡ and 26㎡, and comes in four colors: Silver, Rose, White, and Shine. The shipment price ranges from 850,000 to 900,000 KRW depending on the cooling area.
