[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Kim Jae-ho, a Gwangsan District Council member from the Democratic Party of Korea, officially announced his candidacy for city councilor in the upcoming June 1 nationwide local elections.
On the afternoon of the 9th, Councilor Kim held a declaration ceremony at Ssangam Park in Gwangsan District. This location holds special significance as it was the area where he promised to create the 'Ssangam Park Forest Library' and successfully attracted the 'Gwangsan District Smart Library' during his previous district council election campaign.
Councilor Kim stated, "Based on my experience over the past four years as an 8th Gwangsan District Council member and as the latter-term chairman of the steering committee, I plan to run for city councilor in the upcoming local elections."
He set forth four goals: ▲ relocating the transmission tower site within Eungam Park or attracting an MBC broadcasting station ▲ converting Gwangil High School into a specialized software high school to nurture AI talent ▲ creating a living sports environment through the development of walking trails and loess trails ▲ ensuring a safe commuting environment by introducing a walking school bus system for elementary schools.
