"Will You Confide in Us?" ... Ulsan Office of Education Conducts Comprehensive Survey on School Violence Ulsan Office of Education.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education is conducting the "2022 School Violence Survey" to strengthen the prevention and response system for school violence.

The survey is being conducted online from the 11th of last month until the 8th of this month, targeting all students from 4th grade in elementary school to 3rd grade in high school enrolled in Ulsan. The survey can be taken on the School Violence Survey website.

The survey consists of questions regarding students' experiences and perceptions of school violence, including witnessing, victimization, and perpetration, from the start of the second semester last year up to the survey period.

To encourage participation from multicultural students, the survey is available in seven languages: English, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai, Filipino, and Russian.

The Office of Education stated, "Before participating in the survey, students will watch a school violence prevention education video, so participation will also help with school violence prevention education and awareness improvement."

To increase accessibility for students, participation is possible not only via PC but also through mobile devices. Easy terms suited to elementary students' comprehension levels and specific examples are provided, with elementary school questions separated from those for middle and high school students.

The Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education plans to analyze the survey results to utilize them in establishing plans for school violence prevention and response, and to disclose the information on the School Information Disclosure website.

A representative from the Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education said, "We will conduct on-site monitoring to understand the current status of the survey and gather opinions to increase the participation rate in the survey."
