[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Park Soo-hyun, the President's Chief of Public Communication, stated on the 10th that the Moon Jae-in administration presented a future vision of an inclusive nation, including the 'National Responsibility System for Dementia,' over the past five years, and hopes that the next government will inherit and further develop this vision.

On the same day, Park posted 'Stories about the President not included in the briefing' on his Facebook, saying, "Looking into the Moon Jae-in administration's 'inclusive welfare' policy, I think they truly did a lot to improve the quality of life for each citizen."

He added, "On the other hand, beneficiaries have also said things like 'It was really helpful during difficult times' and 'I felt that the state was by my side,'" conveying the words of those who benefited from inclusive welfare.

However, Park mentioned that while using the express bus terminal to go to his home in Gongju, an elderly person told him, "I don't know why the Moon Jae-in administration's approval rating is high when they haven't done anything," implying that many beneficiaries of inclusive welfare are not fully aware of it.

In response, Park explained to the elderly person, "The Moon Jae-in administration was the first to create and implement the 'National Responsibility System for Dementia,'" but the elderly person replied, "I am not even suffering from dementia, so what does it have to do with me?"

Park highlighted the inclusive welfare of the Moon Jae-in administration over the past five years by focusing on four aspects: background, efforts, achievements, and challenges, stating, "It is true that even under the COVID-19 pandemic, the direction was set correctly and many achievements were made, and it is also true that there is still a long way to go."

He continued, "I believe the next government should start by objectively evaluating the achievements and challenges of the Moon Jae-in administration's inclusive welfare from the people's perspective without political prejudice. Because from there, we must move forward again."

Park concluded, "Since the Moon Jae-in administration has already set the future direction for Korea's welfare state through the innovative inclusive nation future vision 2045, I hope the next government will wisely solve the remaining tasks and steadily continue the steps toward an innovative inclusive nation."
