[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] The Seocho District Council (Chairman Kim Ik-tae) appointed the 2021 fiscal year settlement inspection committee members on the 7th at the 1st Committee Room.
The settlement inspection committee consists of a total of six members, including Councilors Kim Seong-ju and Choi Won-jun, along with four external members who are certified public accountants and tax accountants with extensive experience and expertise. Councilor Kim Seong-ju was appointed as the representative member.
The settlement inspection will be conducted over 30 days from April 7 to May 6, focusing on ▲ the 2021 fiscal year revenue and expenditure settlement ▲ settlement of continuing expenses and specified and accidental carryover expenses ▲ settlement of bonds and debts, assets, and funds, comprehensively examining whether these were lawfully executed, with emphasis on the soundness and efficiency of budget execution and overall financial management of Seocho District.
Chairman Kim Ik-tae stated, “The settlement inspection, which thoroughly examines the efficiency and rationality of district financial management, the appropriateness of project execution, and budget waste, is one of the core functions of the council. Since the settlement results greatly influence the formulation and review of the next year’s budget, I hope today’s appointment ceremony will serve as a foundation for more progressive financial management.”
Representative member Kim Seong-ju expressed his aspirations, saying, “The flower that starts the year is doing the budget well, and the flower that finishes the year is doing the settlement well. I will do my best in the settlement inspection to ensure that the closing of 2021 is done properly and that we can proceed on the right path.”
