Seodaemun-gu Selects and Supports 5 Young Entrepreneur Teams to Operate Stores at Sinchon Boxquare
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Moon Seok-jin) announced on the 8th that it will select and support young entrepreneurs to operate stores at 'Sinchon Box Square' (22-5 Sinchon-yeok-ro) with innovative ideas.
Anyone aged 19 to 39 with a startup idea and a continuous willingness to engage can apply individually or as a team.
The recruitment fields include sales and operation of global and Korean traditional foods, single-serving convenience meals, salads, and handicrafts. However, sales categories overlapping with existing tenants (such as Tteokbokki, Eomuk, Dakgangjeong, etc.) are excluded.
Applicants must download the application form from the notice section of the Sinchon Box Square website, fill it out, and submit it in person at the Sinchon Box Square Operations Support Office between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on the 13th and 14th of this month.
The district will select prospective entrepreneurs to operate stores at about five locations through a first-round document screening and a second-round presentation evaluation.
They can operate their stores at an affordable annual rent of about 1 million KRW for a basic period of two years, with an additional one-year extension after a review, for a maximum of three years.
The district supports successful startups by providing related education, consulting, and online and offline promotional marketing.
The young entrepreneurs will remodel their stores and prepare for business throughout May and will showcase their unique recipes and items to customers starting June 1.
Moon Seok-jin, Mayor of Seodaemun-gu, said, “I hope that Sinchon Box Square will be further revitalized through the synergy effect between the newly entering young entrepreneurs and existing businesses.”
