Eunpyeong-gu, Integrated Training for All Employees on Prevention of Four Major Violences (Sexual Harassment, Prostitution, Sexual Violence, Domestic Violence)

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Eunpyeong-gu (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) will conduct the '4 Major Violence Prevention Education' for all employees until the 18th.

The '4 Major Violence Prevention Education' is a legally mandated training aimed at establishing sound values and creating a workplace atmosphere free of violence in four major areas: sexual harassment, prostitution, sexual violence, and domestic violence. It is conducted annually.

Following last year, this year’s training is also being conducted online through a specialized prevention education institution due to the spread of COVID-19. All employees affiliated with Eunpyeong-gu Office, including the head of the institution, public officials, fixed-term workers, and social service agents, will complete a total of 5 hours of training.

The main training content includes roles when sexual harassment and sexual violence occur within the institution, understanding the procedures for handling incidents, raising awareness among managers and preparing response measures for prevention, and work-related power-based sexual crimes centered on case studies.

An official from the district said, “Through this violence prevention education on sexual harassment, prostitution, sexual violence, and domestic violence, we hope to correct wrong perceptions of violence and foster a mutually respectful atmosphere in the workplace.”
