[Asia Economy Reporter Junho Hwang] This year, the most desired destination during the cherry blossom season was the 'Jinhae Gunhangje Festival.' Additionally, the song that best matches the cherry blossom season was identified as "Cherry Blossom Ending" by the singer Busker Busker.

In a survey conducted by the blockchain-based mobile voting app 'Kratos' last month with 10,748 participants, 49.18% chose the Jinhae Gunhangje Festival as their favorite cherry blossom spot. Following that, Gyeongju Bomun Tourist Complex was selected by 26.66%, Yeouido Cherry Blossom Festival by 18.22%, and Busan Dalmaji-gil by 5.95%.

Jinhae Gunhangje, one of Korea's representative cherry blossom festivals, was not held for three years due to the COVID-19 pandemic and other factors. However, visitor entry has been allowed starting this year. The Gyeongju Bomun Tourist Complex resumed the 'Gyeongju Cherry Blossom Festival' after three years, attracting many spring visitors.

Kratos also conducted a survey last month with 10,798 participants on the topic "Favorite spring song?" Among respondents, 60.1% chose Busker Busker's "Cherry Blossom Ending" as their favorite song. Following that, 27.58% selected Roy Kim's "Bom Bom Bom," and 7.16% chose 10CM's "Bom-i Jo-nya" (Do You Like Spring?).

Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, "Cherry Blossom Ending" is a representative "spring carol" that re-enters music charts every spring.

Kratos analyzed that older songs showed higher preference, and the public tends to associate the image of "spring" with "first love," "school days," and "youth," leading to a stronger preference for nostalgic songs.

The blockchain-based mobile voting app Kratos is a new platform where voting on various topics such as politics, society, economy, and entertainment is actively conducted. Currently, more than 2.8 million survey participations occur daily, and the Kratos global version, launched last December, has secured over 100,000 users within two months of release and is receiving positive responses in Southeast Asian markets including Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Indonesia.
