Jangseong-gun Recruiting Participants for 'Food Storage and Processing Technology Expert Course'

[Jangseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jo Hangyu] Jeonnam Jangseong-gun announced on the 8th that it is recruiting participants for the ‘Food Storage and Processing Technology Expert Course’ until the 11th.

This training will begin on the 19th and will be held every Tuesday, consisting of a total of 12 sessions (48 hours).

Additionally, participants will visit 12 verified food manufacturing companies in the region to receive hands-on training in food processing and equipment operation technologies aimed at large-scale consumption of agricultural products.

After completing the training, those who wish to start a business related to processed foods will also be given opportunities to produce various products.

The target participants are food processing companies, institutional catering workers, and aspiring agricultural entrepreneurs.

Those who wish to participate can register in person at the Agricultural Technology Center’s Agri-food Distribution Division Food Industry Team by the 11th.

A county official stated, “Participants are highly satisfied as they can acquire skills applicable in actual processed food manufacturing sites,” and added, “Since registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, we urge applicants to apply quickly.”

Meanwhile, to increase the added value of agricultural products and improve farmers’ income, the county opened the ‘Agricultural Product Processing Support Center’ in 2016.

Since its opening, the center has led basic education related to agricultural product processing and startups, as well as the development, production, and market expansion of processed foods, effectively serving as an advanced base for agricultural product processing.

In the second half of this year, the opening of the ‘Local Food Processing Center’ is also planned, and it is expected that the synergy between the two centers will maximize and drive the development of the 6th industry in Jangseong-gun.
