Clouclus-DataBricks, Joint Technology Collaboration Program for Enterprise Data Sector Unveiled
Cloukus, a specialized company in MS cloud consulting and management led by CEO Hong Seong-wan, announced that it has been selected as the ‘Partner of the Year’ at Databricks’ ‘APJ Partner Awards 2022’.
The ‘Partner of the Year Award’ evaluates the outstanding performance of partner companies that provide customers with deep industry expertise, technology, and impactful solutions on the Databricks platform. Partners from each country who have demonstrated excellence in innovation and implementation while delivering Databricks’ technology and solutions throughout the year are honored with this award.
With this award, Cloukus was recognized for its unparalleled technical service capabilities and leadership in technology delivery across all aspects of Databricks’ Lakehouse platform consulting, implementation, and technical support, earning the honor of being selected as the representative partner of Korea.
Cloukus is especially known as a leading domestic cloud MSP with strengths in data and AI. Recently, it signed a joint business agreement with SK㈜ C&C for a cloud-on-cloud type AI and data managed service, strengthening its position as an MSP specialized in data and AI. Cloukus established a partnership with Databricks in 2021 and additionally signed a ‘Databricks Delivery Partnership’ earlier this year.
The ‘Delivery Partnership’ is a technical collaboration program that provides comprehensive services for Databricks’ ‘Data Lakehouse’ platform. It is an enterprise joint technical collaboration program that possesses data-related technical capabilities and proven customer cases, and Cloukus is the first case in Korea.
Databricks’ Lakehouse platform, an extensible open platform for all data-driven use cases, supports unifying data teams to accelerate innovation. Databricks offers a modern Lakehouse architecture that integrates data engineering, data science, machine learning, and analytics?from streaming analytics and AI to business intelligence (BI)?within a single collaborative platform. Earlier this year, it attracted $1 billion in funding supported by major tech companies including AWS, CapitalG (a venture investment firm under Alphabet, Google’s parent company), Microsoft, and Salesforce Ventures, making headlines in the global tech sector. At the time of investment, the company was valued at approximately $28 billion, drawing even more attention. Based on annual recurring revenue (ARR), this year’s revenue has exceeded $425 million.

Based on proven cloud technology, Cloukus is accelerating its global expansion with a focus on the Asia region, having completed the establishment of branches in New York and Malaysia. Additionally, to expand the regional cloud ecosystem and nurture talent, it is planning to establish a branch in Busan as a cloud cluster.
Meanwhile, Megazone Cloud was selected as the ‘Rising Star’ at the ‘APJ Partner Awards 2022’.
