"Just Like Real Plum Flesh" Orion Launches 'MyGummy Jadu Almaengi'

[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] Orion announced on the 7th that it has launched ‘My Gummy Jadu Almaengi,’ which captures the unique taste and texture of jadu (plum).

Jadu Almaengi features jelly with different textures on the outside and inside, creating the sensation of eating a fully ripe jadu fruit. The chewy jelly mimics the texture of the jadu skin, while the soft, juicy jelly filled with jadu fruit juice inside spreads a sweet and tangy plum flavor throughout the mouth when bitten. The exterior is red, and the flesh is yellow, delicately replicating the actual appearance of a jadu.

Following the ‘Grape Almaengi’ launched last year, Orion began developing this product to expand its lineup of fruit flesh texture jellies. To find the optimal taste and texture, they analyzed the flavor changes according to the ripeness of real jadu and conducted dozens of tests on the thickness ratio between the jelly skin and flesh before completing the product.

To celebrate the launch of Jadu Almaengi, Orion is also holding a ‘New Product Selection Team Recruitment Event.’ Applications can be submitted through Orion’s official social media (SNS) and blog until the 13th, and 100 winners will be selected by lottery to receive one box of Jadu Almaengi each.
