Shinil Electronics' air circulator sales increased by about 36% compared to the same period last year. This is interpreted as consumer sentiment to prepare products in advance before summer arrives, as the 'stay-at-home' culture is expected to continue due to COVID-19.
Shinil Electronics announced on the 6th that its air circulator sales in the first quarter (January to March) of this year reached 61,720 units, an increase of about 36% compared to the same period last year. Shinil Electronics is the number one fan seller in Korea. Recently, it has recorded the highest market share in sales among major domestic home shopping companies, creating a new formula of ‘Air Circulator = Shinil Electronics.’
An air circulator circulates indoor air with a high-speed, straight wind, and when used together with an air conditioner, it provides excellent cooling effects, making it a popular home appliance in summer. The company explains that the wind strength can be freely adjusted, so it can also be used as a substitute for a fan.
A Shinil Electronics official said, “Many consumers are looking for air circulators that can reduce electricity bills and provide cooling effects in anticipation of increased air conditioner usage due to staying at home and the heat,” adding, “To proactively respond to the early increase in sales, we have secured sufficient inventory and plan to launch a new product with sophisticated design and color in early next month.”
