From the current 414 locations to 500 locations... Various Incentive Supports Provided
[Jeonju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Han-ho] Jeonbuk Province announced on the 6th that it will expand the operation of Open Daycare Centers in 2022.
As of the end of 2021, 414 Open Daycare Centers have been selected and are in operation, and the plan is to increase this number to 500 centers.
This corresponds to about 40% of the total 1,115 daycare centers.
It is expected that the more facilities participate in Open Daycare Centers, the greater the effect in preventing child abuse will be.
Open Daycare Centers are "parent participation-centered daycare centers," characterized by not only the physical openness of the childcare rooms but also easy and diverse access to communication, counseling, education, and program participation with parents throughout the childcare process.
Jeonbuk Province plans to encourage daycare centers to participate in Open Daycare Centers by providing incentives such as priority support for teaching materials and assistant teachers to participating facilities, an additional monthly 100,000 KRW support for daycare helpers, and selection of various award recipients at the end of the year.
In addition, year-round consulting will be provided for daycare centers wishing to participate.
