Honam University and Epic Co., Ltd. Join Hands to Train AI Automotive Industry Experts

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Honam University (President Park Sangcheol) announced on the 6th that it has signed a business agreement with Epic Co., Ltd. (CEO Choi Seongsik) to foster specialized talent in the AI automobile field and to lead regional community development and industry-linked educational revitalization.

The two organizations agreed to actively cooperate in ▲operating educational programs in the AI automobile field ▲training specialized talent in AI automobiles ▲participation of AI automobile experts in undergraduate education and industry-academia linked education ▲establishing a practical consultative system, mutual exchange of information and personnel, and joint industry-academia research.

President Park Sangcheol, Dean of the AI Convergence College Jeong Younggi, Professors Hwang Boseung and Kim Cheolsu (both from the Department of Future Automotive Engineering), CEO Choi Seongsik of Epic Co., Ltd., Committee Member Kang Byeongsik, and Researcher Jang Donggyu each attended the event, adding prestige to the occasion.

Meanwhile, Epic Co., Ltd. is an automotive industry engineering specialized company founded last year by former researchers from Hyundai-Kia Motors R&D Headquarters. The company signed a business agreement with Gwangju City on December 15 last year to establish a future car parts cluster focused on eco-friendly vehicles.
