[Asia Economy Reporter Tae-min Ryu] POSCO Engineering & Construction and the Gwacheon National Science Museum announced on the 6th that they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for "Biodiversity Conservation and the Correct Understanding and Dissemination of Science."
This agreement aims to raise awareness of the global climate change crisis and the necessity of biodiversity conservation.
POSCO Engineering & Construction will operate the "Flower Bee Village Honeybee Garden," which consists of various themes such as honeybee hives, wild bee hives, and honeymoon plant flower beds, in cooperation with the Gwacheon National Science Museum. Additionally, the museum's Insect Ecology Hall will run a biodiversity education program called "Sweet Flower Bee Village" from the 6th of this month until the end of October.
Je Eun-cheol, Head of Management Planning at POSCO Engineering & Construction, said, "We will continue to faithfully fulfill the role of corporate citizen POSCO Engineering & Construction in the local community to pass on a sustainable environment to future generations."
Lee Jung-mo, Director of the Gwacheon National Science Museum, stated, "To respond to the climate change crisis, a correct understanding of the ecosystem is necessary," adding, "Through this program, people will be able to feel the importance of biodiversity and ecosystem conservation together."
