[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seunghyun Jeong] Mokpo National Maritime University announced on the 5th that it held the entrance ceremony for the 3rd Marine and Fisheries Executive MBA program.
The entrance ceremony, held on the 4th at Mokpo Sinan Beach Hotel, was attended by Han Wonhee, President of Mokpo National Maritime University, Kim Jongsik, Mayor of Mokpo, Park Changsoo, Chairman of Mokpo City Council, the executive members of the 1st and 2nd alumni associations, and faculty and staff.
For the 2022 academic year, the 3rd Marine and Fisheries Executive MBA program admitted 34 CEOs and executives from marine and fisheries-related companies in the Jeonnam region.
The program duration is one year, organized into two semesters, and will be conducted as a practical-oriented course including lectures by invited experts in various marine and fisheries fields, participation in corporate management, liberal arts, and training programs.
Jo Daehwan, Dean of the Graduate School of Marine Industry, stated, “We provide specialized knowledge to CEOs and executives in the Jeonnam region who are specialized in the marine and fisheries sector to respond to rapidly changing external environments,” and added, “We will do our best to differentiate our program from executive MBA programs at other universities by promoting high-quality educational programs.”
President Han Wonhee, in his welcoming remarks, said, “Despite the difficult times due to COVID-19, we welcome you to join our university’s Executive MBA program and become alumni,” and congratulated, “We will fulfill the university’s responsibility to the local community through specialized education programs in the marine and fisheries fields.”
