[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo In-ho] The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on the 5th that Foreign Minister Chung Eui-yong will attend the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Foreign Ministers' Meeting on the 7th to discuss cooperation measures regarding the Ukraine situation and the Korean Peninsula issue.

Minister Chung plans to attend the NATO-Partner Countries Joint Foreign Ministers' Meeting held in Brussels, Belgium, to discuss cooperation measures to address global security challenges and strengthen the international norms-based order.

Minister Chung is expected to speak on the Ukraine situation, the Korea-NATO partnership, and issues related to the Korean Peninsula.

This is the first time a South Korean foreign minister has attended a NATO foreign ministers' meeting.
