Ungcheon Trimage Belmare Mall to Resolve Infrastructure Shortage in Ungcheon District [Ungcheon Trimage Belmare Mall Perspective View]

Ungcheon Residential District (Ungcheon-dong) is a complex hinterland district of Yeosu National Industrial Complex, developed by Yeosu City with an investment of approximately 650 billion KRW over a total area of about 2,722,000㎡. Currently, facilities such as Yi Sun-sin Park, Yi Sun-sin Library, a marina, and cultural and artistic facilities have been established, with hotels, general hospitals, and recreational facilities gradually being added.

In particular, since the move-in of the ‘Yeosu Ungcheon Jiwel Phase 1’ apartments in 2010, the population has been rapidly increasing. In fact, Ungcheon Residential District belongs to Sijeon-dong, where as of the end of last year, about 22,400 people, accounting for 61.3% of Sijeon-dong’s population, reside. Due to new apartment constructions, the population is expected to increase to around 30,000 this year.

Ungcheon Residential District offers excellent accessibility from surrounding old downtown areas such as Soho-dong, Singi-dong, and Munsu-dong. Additionally, the Ungcheon-Soho Bridge, connecting Ungcheon to Soho-dong, is scheduled to open in July, which is expected to greatly improve the transportation environment.

Moreover, with the development of a high-end residential complex and various tourism, leisure, and cultural facilities, the land development is nearing completion, making it one of the most preferred residential areas in Yeosu. However, it is evaluated that the district lacks self-sufficiency due to insufficient commercial, medical, educational, and convenience facilities.

In this context, the ‘Ungcheon Trimage Belmare Mall,’ the largest commercial facility in Yeosu scheduled for completion in August, is drawing attention. The Ungcheon Trimage Belmare Mall is expected to resolve the shortage of living infrastructure within the Ungcheon district and attract demand not only from nearby residents but also from surrounding old downtown areas. Additionally, it is anticipated to have a positive impact on revitalizing the local economy by creating jobs.

Located at the center of the Ungcheon district, the Ungcheon Trimage Belmare Mall will consist of 237 units spanning from one basement floor to two above-ground floors. Designed as Yeosu’s first European-style street mall, it is expected to become a distinctive regional landmark shopping center. The interior concept, reminiscent of Naples, Italy, will allow visitors to experience an exotic atmosphere, and the second floor will feature terrace-style shops providing an open and spacious feel.

The planned tenant mix to enhance customer attraction is also noteworthy. The basement floor will house the Kakao Friends Golf Academy and All-round Tennis (sports facilities) covering approximately 700 pyeong (about 2,310㎡). The first floor will include F&B and lifestyle zones, while the second floor will feature a beauty & clinic zone and a large-scale academy area called ‘Edu Town’ spanning about 1,000 pyeong (approximately 3,300㎡).

The Ungcheon Trimage Belmare Mall is currently recruiting tenants to ensure rapid activation of the shopping center after completion. Compared to surrounding shopping centers, it offers reasonable rent, six months of rent-free periods, and advertising support to promote the shopping center after opening, all aimed at creating the best commercial environment.

Meanwhile, detailed inquiries about tenancy are held weekly at the promotional center through business briefing sessions, and visits require prior reservation via phone.
