The GTD (George Takei Design) driver (photo) is the work of Japanese genius club designer George Takei. Interestingly, it was first released in February after Salted, a domestic digital healthcare company, officially acquired the license. The key feature is the composite titanium material. Different titanium materials are used in three parts of the driver head?the crown, sole, and face?to create optimal launch angle and spin, delivering unprecedented performance.

The center of gravity has also been moved to the upper front of the head. This reduces backspin to maximize distance while improving forgiveness. Amateur golfers who have been fitted say their distance increased by more than 10 meters and praise it as the "best pick of 2022." There are four lineups in total: Black Ice 460, GT455 Plus 2, GT455 Alpha, and Angel-C. Professional fitters help select the model that suits the player’s body type.

The Black Ice 460 looks great with its matte black style. It features a 460cc semi-shallow type head. The GT455 Plus 2, with a beta titanium crown, is perfect for hitters aiming for explosive distance. The GT455 Alpha is for so-called ‘advanced players’ and requires practice to adapt to its deep-face design. The Angel-C has a medium shallow type head that suits swinger golfers well. Its hook-face structure naturally reduces slices during the swing.
