Jeju 4·3 Memorial Ceremony Held in Seoul as Well

A memorial ceremony honoring the souls of the victims of the Jeju 4·3 Incident was also held in Seoul. Immediately after the 74th anniversary memorial ceremony at the Jeju 4·3 Peace Park, the 4·3 Seoul memorial ceremony took place at the Seodaemun Prison History Hall's Eoul Shelter in Seoul. The main floral tribute and memorial speeches were delivered by Lee In-young, Minister of Unification, and Park Ju-min, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea. Since the 70th anniversary of 4·3 in 2018, the Seoul memorial ceremony had been held at Gwanghwamun, but starting last year, it has been held at Seodaemun Prison, where prisoners were incarcerated.
