A 15m Giant 'Belligom' Exhibition in Jamsil... 500,000 Visitors Over the Weekend Lotte Homeshopping is holding the public exhibition "Amazing Bellygom" at World Park (outdoor lawn plaza) to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the opening of Lotte World Tower. Citizens are lining up to take commemorative photos in front of the 15m giant "Bellygom" and enjoying picnics.


[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Lotte Homeshopping announced on the 3rd that the public exhibition of the popular YouTube character 'Bellygom,' installed in the main plaza to commemorate the 5th anniversary of the opening of Lotte World Tower, has been visited by 500,000 people since its opening on the 1st.


On the 1st, Lotte Homeshopping installed a 15-meter-tall, apartment four-story-high giant Bellygom in the outdoor lawn plaza of Lotte World Tower, unveiling its own character. Along with six 2-meter-tall Bellygoms, the 'Amazing Bellygom' public exhibition attracted 500,000 visitors during the first weekend after opening. Couples and families enjoying outings continued to visit, taking 인증샷 (certification shots) at each Bellygom sculpture. The Bellygom goods shop next to the plaza also saw continuous foot traffic from visitors. The event will run until the 17th of this month and will feature various activities such as a 'hidden camera' where Bellygom appears at the exhibition site to surprise visitors, and an event where visitors travel with Bellygom from a nearby subway station to the exhibition site.


'Bellygom' is a character born from an internal venture program conducted in 2018 targeting Lotte Homeshopping's MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z) employees. Based on the worldview of 'a bear that brings laughter to everyday life,' it is a pink bear that loves people. Through hidden camera concept video content aimed at the general public, it has gained 1.1 million SNS fans in three years and has released a total of 900 pieces of content through various social media channels such as YouTube, surpassing 300 million cumulative views.
