Composing Lyrics Infused with Lifelong Love for Hometown Gwangsan
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Yoon Bong-geun, a preliminary candidate for mayor of Gwangsan District, Gwangju Metropolitan City (former National Communication Committee member of the Presidential Committee on Balanced National Development under former President Moon Jae-in), is attracting attention by releasing a song titled "Gwangsan-i Jokuna" (I Love Gwangsan), which is about his lifelong hometown, Gwangsan.
Candidate Yoon incorporated his affection and love for his hometown into the lyrics as a follow-up to his book "Gwangsan Must Live for Honam to Live." The release event will be held on April 1 at 11 a.m. near Appa-gop in Dosan-dong Administrative Welfare Center, Gwangsan District.
Composer Jeong Seung-chae and singer Chae Jeong-sook, who won an award at the Housewives' Singing Contest, will attend the new song release event to share behind-the-scenes stories of the song's release.
Following this, there will be a meeting aimed at popularizing local culture for district residents.
Yoon, a former teacher, has published a total of four essay collections, including "Life of Wildflowers, Hope of Candlelight," "Leadership with Great Thoughts," and "Beautiful Journey with Citizens."
Meanwhile, preliminary candidate Yoon Bong-geun has served as chairman of the Gwangju Metropolitan City Education Committee, chairman of the Gwangju Metropolitan City Council, vice chairman of the Democratic Party Central Policy Committee, member of the Administrative Coordination Committee of the Prime Minister's Office, and National Communication Committee member of the Presidential Committee on Balanced National Development under former President Moon Jae-in. He is highly regarded by local residents for his strong recognition and long experience.
