Jeonnam Provincial Assembly Member Kim Gyeong-ja Announces Candidacy for Hampyeong County Governor

[Hampyeong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Jeonnam Provincial Assembly member Kim Kyung-ja officially declared her candidacy for Hampyeong County Governor in the nationwide local elections to be held on June 1.

Assembly member Kim said, "As a daughter of Hampyeong born in Eomdam-myeon, Hampyeong, and having lived as a Hampyeong resident engaged in agriculture-related industries for 20 years, I have played a pivotal role in the election campaigns for provincial assembly member, county governor, and National Assembly member in the Hampyeong area," adding, "I have worked harder than anyone else for a better hometown Hampyeong and for the future in which my family will live."

She continued, "With a firmer belief and philosophy, I became a proportional representation assembly member and a systemic politician," and stated her candidacy by saying, "I am grateful for the grace and encouragement bestowed by the people of Hampyeong and wish to repay the love they have shown me."

She also emphasized, "I have consistently worked in agriculture-related industries and have been with farmers, so I understand the hard life of farmers and fishermen better than anyone else."

She added, "Following COVID-19, with rising fuel prices, fertilizer price increases, and the endless decline of agricultural products, our farmers and fishermen no longer have anywhere to complain," and claimed, "It is truly regrettable that the administration, which should improve residents' quality of life, is stagnant and unable to push forward local issues due to frequent personnel changes."

Furthermore, she said, "Hampyeong County needs a county governor who is driven and capable," and added, "We are in the process of developing the Bitgreen National Industrial Complex, and with 31,100 residents, there is an opportunity to soar into a city of 200,000. I will do my best to prepare for the relocation of the National Institute of Animal Science and to establish Hampyeong as a true mecca of livestock industry standing proudly in the world."

Meanwhile, Assembly member Kim presented her pledges for responsible politics and to create a prosperous and livable Hampyeong, including ▲realization of fair and transparent politics ▲promotion of the backward agriculture of Hampyeong into smart agriculture ▲overcoming the population extinction crisis ▲promotion of the Jasan cultural zone centered on Jasan Seowon ▲establishment of a public medical center ▲introduction of a 1000-won taxi ▲revitalization of the orchid industry ▲creation of the Sapo tourism complex ▲and the Saemangeum New Deal 300 project, among other local issue solutions.
