"I Will Create the Miracle of Gangjin with Chairman Kim Seung-nam"
[Gangjin=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-su] Kang Jin-won, a preliminary candidate who declared his candidacy for the Gangjin County Governor of Jeollanam-do, officially entered the election campaign starting with the opening ceremony of his election office on the 29th.
The opening ceremony held on the 2nd floor of the Gangjin Passenger Bus Terminal was a great success with about 1,500 county residents attending despite it being a weekday.
In particular, even though the opening ceremony was conducted mainly with pure Gangjin residents without inviting external figures, a large crowd that had been hard to find until now gathered.
Before the full-scale opening ceremony, children, the future generation of Gangjin, attracted attention by presenting blue rose bouquets symbolizing the meaning of the ‘Miracle of Gangjin’ to preliminary candidate Kang and Kim Seung-nam, chairman of the Democratic Party.
Following this, the appointment ceremony for the joint election countermeasures committee chairman, advisors, policy development advisory committee, and special advisory groups in various fields such as welfare, women, youth, and small business owners took place, along with a video congratulatory message from former Prime Minister Lee Nak-yeon and a congratulatory speech from Chairman Kim Seung-nam.
Although many people expressed their intention to give congratulatory speeches as the election office opening ceremony schedule was set, it is known that only Chairman Kim was invited.
Kim Seung-nam, chairman of the Jeonnam Provincial Party Committee, said, “Preliminary candidate Kang is a proven person who has played a significant role in the development of Gangjin and South Korea,” and added, “Please help with one heart and one mind so that the unbloomed flower of Gangjin can fully bloom and the miracle of Gangjin can definitely be achieved,” conveying his congratulations and support.
In particular, preliminary candidate Kang attracted attention by directly presenting the blueprint for Gangjin’s development, including the 5·5·5·5 core goals and three core strategies.
Preliminary candidate Kang also emphasized, “I will definitely create a Gangjin where jobs and population increase, a miraculous Gangjin! A Gangjin of turnaround!” and “I will create regional development with Chairman Kim through a fantastic teamwork that is unprecedented nationwide.”
The opening ceremony concluded with a ‘paper airplane flying’ performance expressing the hope for Gangjin’s leap forward.
