Korentec Accelerates Entry into Dental Industry... Promotes Business Diversification

Signed Distribution Agreement and Manufacturing Collaboration with US Rodomedical for Digital Prosthetics in Korea

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwanju] Artificial joint company Corentec announced on the 29th that it has signed an implant prosthesis partnership with RODO Medical, Inc. in the United States.

Corentec will receive the exclusive implant technology of a new cementless bonding method developed for the first time in the world by RODO Medical and will be in charge of domestic distribution of implant prostheses. Production and technology transfer in Korea will begin in the first half of this year.

RODO Medical is a US-based global implant technology company holding exclusive technology and owns more than 30 patents in the US and other countries.

RODO Medical’s ‘Smileloc’ system is a fixation (locking) method using a shape memory alloy device (Ni-Ti alloy) with a screwless, cementless bonding method. Even in cases of re-treatment due to artificial tooth breakage, this technology allows easy removal of the prosthesis and attachment of a new artificial tooth.
