Everland to Issue 'Tulip NFT' from April 2... Metaverse Also Opening in First Half of the Year

11 Types of Tulip Character 'Tully' Summon NFT Art Sold on a First-Come, First-Served Basis

Everland will commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Tulip Festival by issuing 11 types of 'Tulip NFTs' on Kakao NFT distribution service Klip Drops from April 2 to 6.

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] Everland, operated by Samsung C&T Resort Division, announced on the 29th that it will issue 'Tulip NFTs' from April 2 to 6 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Tulip Festival.

Everland's Tulip NFTs come in a total of 11 types, capturing the special meaning of the 30th anniversary of the Tulip Festival by summoning 'Tully,' the Everland tulip character born in the 1990s, and creating NFT art that combines both artistic value and rarity.

The NFTs will be sequentially sold from April 2 to 6 on 'Clippedrops,' a digital art and NFT distribution service. Artist Isulro, popular among the MZ generation, created the Tully Heroes characters symbolizing love, happiness, and dreams, which are presented as NFTs. Artist Choo Mi-rim from the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art produced a retro-style Tully character NFT video using pixels.

Additionally, Everland designers also participated in the NFT production, showcasing various lively and fun forms of tulip NFT art such as neon lights, blocks, time-lapse, and 3D videos.

This Tulip NFT series is limited to 330 pieces in total, with 30 copies per artwork, and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis at a fixed price of 50 to 70 KLAY each. KLAY is a cryptocurrency based on the Klaytn blockchain platform developed by Ground X. As of 8 a.m. on the day, according to Bithumb exchange, 1 KLAY is equivalent to 1,475 KRW.

An Everland official stated, "This Tulip NFT was planned to communicate with the MZ generation and expand fandom through a unique experience and participation." They added, "We will continue to issue NFTs using Everland IP and characters, and are considering ways to provide special benefits and services to customers who hold NFTs, expanding connections between online and offline."

Meanwhile, Everland recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with blockchain service platform PlayDapp and plans to newly launch 'Everland Metaverse' in the first half of this year. The Everland Metaverse will be built within 'PlayDapp Land,' a virtual playground released on Roblox, which is used by 700 million users worldwide, and will feature over 40 popular Everland attractions, performances, and experiences recreated identically to the real ones.
