[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] The Korean Medical Association announced on the 28th that Lee Sang-woon, Vice President of the KMA, delivered a donation of 10 million won for the Uljin wildfire victims to Lee Cheol-woo, Governor of Gyeongsangbuk-do, at the regular delegate general meeting of the Gyeongsangbuk-do Medical Association.
Vice President Lee said, "After seeing the hardships faced by the disaster victims through media reports, I personally prepared a donation to help alleviate the pain of those affected by the wildfire as much as possible," adding, "All KMA members are supporting the disaster victims to return to their daily lives as soon as possible."
Governor Lee Cheol-woo responded, "I understand that frontline medical institutions have been facing difficult management conditions due to the COVID-19 pandemic lasting over two years. Nevertheless, I am grateful and thankful for your precious donation."
At the donation ceremony, Vice President Lee and Governor Lee were joined by Lee Woo-seok, President of the Gyeongsangbuk-do Medical Association; Jeong Hong-soo, President of the Daegu Medical Association; Park Sung-min, Chair of the Korean Medical Association Delegate Council; and Kim Jeong-cheol, Chair of the Daegu Medical Association Delegate Council.
