Over 100 Students Exhibit More Than 200 Works Including Watercolors
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju University (President Kim Hyukjong) announced on the 28th that it will hold the "2022 Lifelong Education Center Culture and Arts Exhibition," showcasing works by lifelong education center students from April 29 to May 10.
Under the theme "Blooming the Flower of Lifelong Education," the exhibition is held at the Hosim Art Museum on the first floor of the Gwangju University Theater and features about 200 works by over 100 students participating in six courses.
First, the watercolor illustration (flower painting) exhibition will be held until May 4. Following this, exhibitions will be held sequentially: Korean painting under the theme "The Scent of Ink Wash" (April 5?11), Photography Academy "Layered Expression is Freedom" (April 12?18), Calligraphy "Calligraphy and Poetry" (April 19?25), Western painting "Happiness in Paintings" (April 26?May 2), and Digital Photography and Photoshop "Photography Meets Digital" (May 3?10).
The exhibition was organized to provide students with opportunities for self-realization through the spread of lifelong education learning culture and to share a healthy and joyful life.
It also aims to improve the quality of life through creative outcomes and to enhance the development of lifelong education through exchanges with the university.
Choi Junho, director of the Hosim Art Museum at Gwangju University, said, "While preparing for the exhibition, I felt the students' overflowing enthusiasm and passion," adding, "We plan to organize various programs in the future to expand the venue to include not only lifelong education center students but also local residents."
