[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Sumi] Former Democratic Party of Korea leader Song Young-gil revealed the appearance of President Moon Jae-in's private residence near Tongdosa Temple in Yangsan, Gyeongnam.
On the 27th, former leader Song posted on his Facebook, saying, "I sincerely hope that we will never have to shout 'Jimutmi' (Sorry for not protecting you) again."
It is reported that he is touring temples nationwide to soothe his mind and body and reflect after resigning from the party leadership following the responsibility for the defeat in the 20th presidential election.
Former leader Song said he is doing a temple stay at Tongdosa Temple in Yangsan, Gyeongnam, and added, "Yesterday, I looked from afar at the construction site of the house where President Moon Jae-in will live after his retirement starting May 10."
He also shared a photo showing the appearance of President Moon's private residence, explaining, "It is behind Tongdosa Temple and is modest and simple. It is the white house at the very back of the houses in the photo."
Former leader Song added, "In an era where former presidents spend a comfortable old age in their hometowns and serve the local community, I will become one of the pillars to prevent the vicious cycle of political revenge."
Recently, within the Democratic Party, there have been continuous calls for former leader Song to run as the Seoul mayoral candidate in the upcoming June local elections.

On the 25th, Representative Lee Su-jin earnestly requested on her Facebook, "I sincerely ask former leader Song Young-gil to run for Seoul mayor."
Representative Lee said, "I thought once about the qualifications for the Seoul mayor candidate. The only person who meets all the criteria is former leader Song. He has served as a five-term National Assembly member, mayor of Incheon, and party leader who led the presidential election."
She continued, "Ahead of the local elections, he will be a strength to all our party candidates. Above all, if a candidate with the weight of former leader Song stands firm at the forefront and moves forward shoulder to shoulder with other candidates in the crucial Seoul mayoral election, we can surely win."
Representative Jeon Yong-gi also posted on Facebook on the 23rd, urging Song to run for Seoul mayor, saying, "A decision is needed for the party's victory. While respecting the leader's decision for political reform such as the 586 generation's retirement theory and withdrawal from candidacy, I hope he will dedicate himself one last time toward the future that the Democratic Party can show, solely for the party."
Democratic Party members are also posting on the party bulletin board requesting former leader Song to run for Seoul mayor.
