ChitoLife Co., Ltd. (CEO Jeong Teuk-rae), which has been developing specialized pharmaceuticals such as anticancer drugs and gene delivery systems using chitosan, a natural substance derived from nature, as the main chain, announced on the 24th that it has signed an agreement with Ducon Co., Ltd. (CEO Jang Hyun-sung) for a metaverse specialized research and development platform service through 4D content production.

ChitoLife Co., Ltd. (CEO Jeong Teuk-rae) is a company possessing various natural new drug materials, engaged in new drug research and development and production of health functional foods. It plans to provide an integrated AR solution that produces AR content combined with Digital Twin information in the areas of facility management, maintenance, and training, and manages work through AR remote support. The goal is to establish a new concept smart factory platform that navigates between reality and virtuality in a digital twin space.

ChitoLife is a leading domestic "marine life bio company" excelling in the health functional food field using chitosan. In 1998, it received KT Mark certification from the Ministry of Science and Technology for FACOS chito-oligosaccharide, which combines a new salt removal technology with manufacturing technology of highly bioactive chito-oligosaccharides, and completed domestic and PCT (Patent Cooperation Treaty) patent applications based on related technologies.

Ducon Co., Ltd. is a metaverse spatial platform specialized company with technology to provide hyper-realistic virtual spaces using its platform. Utilizing 4D cameras for metaverse content technology, it builds an immersive digital platform applying 3D scanning shooting and editing technology, and promises support such as developing convergent service models for the metaverse and integrating VR, AR, and MT services.

The photorealistic metaverse space realized based on Ducon’s unique indoor space scanning technology enables users to experience vivid spatial experiences through 3D VR tours without physically visiting various spaces such as real estate, electric vehicle charging & parking sharing platforms, interior design, construction sites, and travel destinations.

Through this business agreement ceremony, ChitoLife CEO Jeong Teuk-rae stated, “By collaborating with Ducon to build a new concept smart factory platform that navigates between reality and virtuality in a digital twin space, we will expand ChitoLife’s health functional foods into educational and other spaces within the metaverse.”
