[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Ju-hyung] Taste columnist Hwang Kyo-ik and pro-Democratic Party figures such as Kim Yong-ok, also known as Dool, fiercely criticized President Moon Jae-in and the hardline supporters as the cause of the Democratic Party of Korea's presidential election defeat.

On the 23rd, Hwang wrote on his Facebook, "I ask the Democratic Party of Korea, 'How long will you continue to carry the 'extreme Moon fans'?" He criticized, "Will you leave them alone until they kill Moon Jae-in, kill Lee Jae-myung, kill the Democratic Party, and ultimately kill the entire democratic political force?"

He continued, "When I pointed out the problem of the extreme Moon fans, who are called 'Moonpa' or 'bugs,' to Democratic Party politicians several times and demanded their management, the response was evasive," adding, "Although harsh, they are also party members and supporters, so they cannot be easily dismissed. It is pathetic to do progressive politics while protecting those who casually speak like human scum."

He also said, "(The hardline supporters) attacked Lee Jae-myung like dogs on a hot summer day whenever he said even slightly favorable words," and "If you didn't criticize Lee Jae-myung, they insisted that you were not on Moon Jae-in's side."

He emphasized, "I call these political forces 'extreme Moon fans' to distinguish them from ordinary Moon Jae-in supporters," and "I earnestly hope that this political force does not set foot in or interfere with the Democratic Party's presidential candidate camp because they have fundamental problems with basic philosophy about humans and politics."

Hwang is not the only pro-Democratic Party figure to criticize President Moon and the hardline supporters over the recent presidential election results.

Kim Yong-ok, known as Dool, criticized President Moon as the cause of the recent presidential election defeat in a lecture video posted on the YouTube channel 'DoolTV' on the 21st.

He began by saying, "Since the presidential election, I have not had a chance to meet you all even once. There were various situations like COVID-19, but above all, I did not feel like giving a lecture in front of you."

He continued, "What on earth is this? We need to know for sure," and raised his voice, "Everyone who claims to be progressive must reflect. Who is the top person responsible? That is Moon Jae-in, Moon Jae-in!"

He added, "When I say this, no one agrees," explaining, "Because President Moon Jae-in is someone who should not be criticized. Moon Jae-in's 'Moonpa politics' ruined the progressive forces."

Kim also criticized the Moon Jae-in administration's mistakes point by point. He said, "During Moon Jae-in's five-year reign in the Blue House, when did he ever properly take action? Was there ever a time he took decisive action? There was a chance to solve the inter-Korean issues. He should have boldly risked his neck," and strongly condemned, "We must pray that a president like Moon Jae-in is never born again in this land."

Having publicly supported former Democratic Party presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung in January, calling him "a person sent from heaven," he said, "I'm not defending Lee Jae-myung, but once he became the presidential candidate, shouldn't he have united fiercely with one heart and fought the war?" He lamented, "In the end, that did not happen. That's why we are in this situation now."
