CEO Suhyun Kim of Autobiography Co., Ltd. participated last year in the project to replace high-efficiency agitators at Namhang Sewage Treatment Plant (Namhang Office), which was selected by the Incheon Environmental Corporation for the Ministry of Environment’s local government greenhouse gas reduction equipment support project and received national funding. On the 23rd, it was announced that this resulted in approximately a 90% reduction in power consumption compared to the existing equipment.
The agitator applied in this project is a foldable high-efficiency vertical agitator that maintains the high efficiency of a general vertical agitator while allowing installation and maintenance from the top of the tank without draining the tank. Its characteristic is that the impeller can be folded and brought in and out of the tank, eliminating the inconvenient and dangerous tasks of draining the tank and having installation personnel go down to the bottom of the tank to assemble the impeller and shaft, as with general vertical agitators. This makes installation simple and safe.
Although it is known that general vertical agitators are efficient, many lower and wastewater treatment plants that hesitated to adopt them due to the burdensome installation conditions such as tank draining and sealing work are showing great interest.
CEO Suhyun Kim stated, “From the customer’s perspective, a vertical agitator that delivers equally high efficiency at the same price can be safely installed anytime from the top of the tank without draining the tank,” and added, “We developed this product together with the Incheon Environmental Corporation based on the conviction that if there is a product that allows underwater inspection and parts replacement anytime during operation without draining the tank, customers would choose that product.”
