[Asia Economy Reporter Kum Bo-ryeong] The office of President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol stated on the 23rd regarding the upcoming ROK-U.S. joint military exercises expected next month, "The current commander-in-chief of the armed forces is President Moon Jae-in," adding, "We understand that the decision will be made through discussions with the U.S., the current Blue House, and the Ministry of National Defense."
On the same day, Kim Eun-hye, spokesperson for the President-elect, responded to a question at the press conference held at the Presidential Transition Committee in the Korea Financial Training Institute in Samcheong-dong, Seoul, asking, "The U.S. side wants to coordinate positions with Korea regarding the ROK-U.S. joint exercises scheduled for next month.
